The National Museum of Australia is devoted to telling the stories of Australia and Australians, exploring the key issues, events and people that have shaped and influenced the nation.

Using state-of-the-art technology and exhibition design, the stories of the collection are told in an exciting and engaging manner. The use of multimedia, live performances, hands-on activities and guided tours appeal to a wide range of audiences.

The museum building was designed by architect Howard Raggatt and uses a theme of knotted ropes to symbolize bringing together the stories of Australians.
