Commonwealth Place - Foreshore Aerial

Commonwealth Place is located on the south shore of Lake Burley Griffin. Its focal point is a disctinctive concave grassed amphitheater designed for events and public gatherings. Each summer, Canberra's premier youth music festival, Foreshore Summer Music Festival, is held here. A display of international flags flanks the amphitheater, one flag for each nation with a diplomatic mission in Canberra. At Commonwealth Place you will also find the National Portrait Gallery, The Waters Edge Restaurant, Reconciliation Place and Speakers Square.
